Free Speech TV's "Sourcecode": The Fifth Year of War

This week we feature "Sourcecode," a great program on Free Speech TV (which broadcasts on channel 9415 on the DISH satellite network www.freespeech.org). This episode begins with a report from Baghdad by independent journalist Dahr Jamail (www.dahrjamailiraq.com). Then the show covers the rise in resistance among active duty soldiers against the continued US presence in Iraq, then it moves to the horror of being a soldier "in harms way," with a report on the "signature" wounds of the US war against Iraq. It ends with a bit of culture. The PepperSpray Collective contributed footage to this episode of "Sourcecode," which is why they sent it to us, allowing us to bring it to you now. "Sourcecode" is an outstanding typical example of the kind of programming that you can find on FSTV. Its enough to make you want to get one of those satellite dishes. Of course, if you are watching "Indymedia Presents" on cable, then chances are you don't get FSTV. Which is why sharing the good stuff makes so much sense. www.freespeech.org Pepperspray Productions formed shortly after the WTO protests in Seattle, in response to the Independent Media Center's call, "don't hate the media, be the media". We believe that the Corporate Media is not telling us the whole story, and that the people must make our own media if we want our voices to be heard. www.indymedia.org
